How it works
Two tests, one link, and the pairing between you

Take the test
Pairs of statements. Pick the one that fits you - no neutral middle. About 10 minutes.

Invite the other person
Send one link to your partner, your best friend, your sister, the colleague you never quite get. They take the same test, on their own, about themselves.

See how you click
The moment both results are in, the pairing shows up: one of 16 relationship types, with a name, a one-line summary and what it tends to feel like from each side.
What makes this different
Both of you are typed
A name calculator or a quiz about shared interests measures nothing about either person. Here each of you takes a full personality test, and the compatibility reading comes from how two personality types fit together, not from one person's guess about the other.
It is a relationship type, not a score
Most tests give you a compatibility score, and a percentage tells you nothing you can use. "Mirror: constructive critics" or "Duality: the complete complement" tells you where the ease comes from and where the friction will show up. All 16 relationship descriptions are free to read in full.
It works for any two people
Couples are the obvious case, but the same 16 types describe friendships, siblings, parents and grown children, and the person you share a desk with. A friend group can run it too, and each of you sees your relationship type with everyone you have connected with.
Your type stays yours
You see your result with its confidence, and you can change it. Nothing is locked to you by an algorithm, and nobody else's answers can change your type.
Getting your type right is the whole game
The pairing is only as good as the two types behind it. The test gives you a direction, not a certainty: when your answers sit close to a line, it says so and shows which types were in the running. Treat that as the start, not the end.
Everything you need to settle it is here, free:
Read the likeliest profiles
Your result names the closest alternatives. Each of the 16 profiles is written to be recognised from the inside, so a few minutes of reading usually makes one of them click and the others fall away.
Take the AI interview
A second, independent instrument: you answer eight spoken questions in your own words, and the analysis looks at how you think and talk rather than which statement you picked. It is the closest thing to a second opinion.
Decide for yourself
When you are sure, set your type. From then on every pairing uses the type you chose, not the one the test guessed.
Do this before you compare. A pairing built on a wrong type describes two people who are not in the room.

Who people take it with
- Couples - new or twenty years in. The relationship type explains the pattern you already know, and names the part that keeps repeating.
- Best friends - the one who gets you without trying, and the one you argue with and still keep. Both have a type.
- Friend groups - everyone takes it, and each of you sees who is your complement and where your tension sits.
- Family - siblings, parents, grown children. Some of the hardest pairings in the list are family pairings, and seeing them named helps.
- Work - the colleague or co-founder you cannot read. Takes 10 minutes each and gives you a shared vocabulary.

Questions people ask
Yes. Both tests are free and unlimited, and so are all 16 relationship descriptions. Only the full reading for your exact pair of types is paid, as a one-time unlock.
They can answer every question without one. A free account is what saves the result and shows the pairing to both of you.
About 10 minutes per person. Every question is a choice between two statements.
Each person should answer alone, about themselves. The pairing only means something if both results are honest, and answering with your partner looking over your shoulder changes the answers.
Then you have a name for something you already felt, and a description of what each side tends to experience. It is a description of a pattern between two types, not a verdict on your relationship. Plenty of long and happy couples sit in the tense half of the list.
Then the pairing is wrong too, so fix the type first. Your result shows how sure the test was and which types came close. Read those profiles, take the AI interview if you want a second instrument, and set the type you recognise. The test gives a direction; the final call is yours.
A personality test, taken by two people. The compatibility reading is derived from the two types. That is why it works just as well for friends and family as for couples.
15 traits: the four classic dichotomies most personality tests use, plus 11 derived from how those four combine. Together they identify one of 16 types, and each pair of types has a defined relationship.
Still deciding? How to know if you're compatible with someone
Based on classical socionics theory - a description of typical patterns between types, not relationship advice or a prediction for your relationship. Terms of Service
