Subjectivist and Objectivist

This is about where people look for validity and truth.

Subjectivists

• Evaluate information through personal frameworks
• Ask: "What does this mean to me? How do I interpret this?"
• Accept that different perspectives can be simultaneously valid
• Invoke interpretation: "From my perspective..."

Objectivists

• Evaluate information through external standards
• Ask: "What do the facts show? What's established?"
• Look for validation in data, consensus, and observable reality
• Invoke authority: "Studies show..."

The key difference: subjectivists see truth as constructed through interpretation; objectivists see truth as accessible through verification.

If you're objectivist, recognize context and interpretation matter. If you're subjectivist, recognize some claims are more verifiable than others.

Neither approach is more valid. Complete understanding requires both interpretation and verification.
